Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Y Build ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Y Build mobile app, web app, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and any display name and avatar you provide. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and the name/email you choose to share.
User content
We store the chats, comments, files, and other content you create in the Services so we can show them back to you and, where you explicitly publish them, to other users.
Health, calendar, reminders (optional)
On iOS, you may grant access to HealthKit, Calendar, and Reminders. We use this data only to power the features you ask for (e.g. summarizing your week). Health snapshots are stored encrypted and tied to your account.
Voice input (optional, on-device)
When you use voice features, audio is processed on your device for speech-to-text. Raw audio is not uploaded to our servers.
Push notifications
If you enable push notifications, we receive an APNs device token from Apple so we can send notifications to your device.
Diagnostics
We log server-side request metadata, error reports, and performance metrics to keep the Services reliable. We do not use this data for advertising.
How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
- To authenticate you and protect your account.
- To process content you submit through AI agents and return results back to you.
- To send transactional notifications you have opted in to.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Services (cloud hosting on Google Cloud; payment processing via Stripe and Paddle; AI model providers including Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic for processing your prompts).
- Other users only when you explicitly publish content (e.g. to Discover) or follow / message them.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Delete Account on iOS, or the equivalent on the web). Deletion immediately scrubs your personal information (email, name, avatar, biographical data) and revokes all active sessions. Aggregated, de-identified analytics may be retained.
Tracking
We do not track you across other companies' apps and websites. We do not engage in targeted advertising. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
Children
The Services are not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like GDPR or CCPA to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email contact@ybuild.ai.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
